How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • We use your name and address to send goods you have ordered to you.

  • We use your email address or phone number provided by you, to contact you about goods ordered or classes you booked.

We also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:

  • We receive your name and address from Paypal, Wix, or Etsy when you purchase goods online. We need this, in order to deliver the goods to you.

  •  We receive contact details from Social Media platforms, email and messaging apps when you initiate contact with us. We use this to reply to you.

We may share this information with a delivery service, e.g. Royal Mail.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting Collpotterycraftcentre@gmail.com

We have a contractual obligation to you in fulfilling your order.

We have a legal obligation to HMRC to record the details of our financial transactions.

We have a legitimate interest in that we might to contact you regarding your order or classes, for example, if classes are postponed or cancelled.  

 

How we store your personal information

Your information is securely stored.

We keep information regarding orders for the statutory period as laid down by HMRC. This does not include payment info such as card details, we never see these. We will then dispose your information by deleting.

We keep contact details for as long as it takes us to fulfil our contractual obligations to you. For example, until you have received your order or until you are no longer a student with us. After this the information is deleted. 

 

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
